Spanish Club

¡Bienvenidos al club de español! 

Purpose of this club: To provide cultural and enriching activities to celebrate Hispanic heritage, history, culture and daily traditions in a relaxed and social atmosphere.  

In order to be a member of Spanish club, you need to attend a minimum of 4 activities for the school year. I am excited to have you be a part of our club! If you are interested in joining our club, please reach out to Señora Dria at the High School in C307 or through email to ald2jc@jackson.sparcc.org

Club dues are accepted in the form of cash or checks can be made out to Jackson Local Schools.

We will not have regular monthly meetings. 

Our tentative schedule of activities for the year is:

- September: Soccer game @ the stadium 

- October: Salsa night #1 (wear your Spanish club t-shirt and enter to win a gift card to El Rincón) @ the Sauder elementary gym 

- November: Día de los muertos celebration- Play Coco/ Book of life in the background craft and/or coloring. Snack of churros or day of the dead ring pops in the lecture hall

- January: Reyes Magos Celebration - Holiday potluck and $3-$5 gift exchange (with story) in the Commons

- February: Movie night - Encanto/ Ferdinand with quesadillas (come in pjs and bring blankets) in the lecture hall

- March: Salsa night #2 (wear your Spanish club t-shirt and enter to win a gift card to El Rincón) @ the Sauder Elementary gym

- April: Bingo with Spanish prizes in the Commons or lecture hall
