Jackson High School Mentors

The Mentors Club is a club made up of senior students designated to help support and familiarize the incoming freshmen class and the new students to the district with their new high school environment and help to have a positive experience.

Mentors Club

Changes coming to the mentor program! 

  • Starting with the 2026-2027 school year we will only be allowing senior students  as mentors. 
  • All current juniors that are mentors now will have the opportunity to continue to be mentors for this upcoming school year. Please notify Mrs. MacDonald or Mrs. Dria if you are not interested in continuing being a mentor for next year. 
  • The current sophomore class will have to wait to apply to be a mentor until the following year (end of their junior year).
  • All selected students will act as mentors for the incoming class and also any new students to the district. 
  • If you are a current junior, who will be a senior next year and are interested in being considered for a mentor position, please fill out this interest google form.
  • The selection process will be made up from the following categories:
    • Grades
    • Attendance
    • Teacher recommendations/ nominations
    • Discipline records- No violation of JHS Student Code of Conduct on file
    • Outgoing personality, friendly and kind demeanor, patient
    • Leadership qualities 
  • We will have a certain amount of spots available each year (depending on homeroom #’s and sizes) 
  • You will be notified in the spring whether you were accepted or not as a mentor.
